There are big differences in product formulations, ingredient combining and how ingredients are sourced and delivered into the skin. I am proudly promoting more independent, women and women of color driven brands in the marketplace that are in line with these guidelines and social practices.
Did you know that personal care laws in the United States have not been updated since 1938? There are only about 30 ingredients banned from personal care products in the United States, whereas there are over 800 banned in Canada and over 1400 banned in the United Kingdom. We have much to make up for in this arena. Many ingredients found in skincare and personal care products today contain ingredients that can cause hormone disruption and skin sensitivity, and many have been found to be carcinogenic. As an oncology-trained aesthetician I am very aware of the harm that some of these products can cause and my vision is to serve you with clean, clinical and ethical beauty products.
